User Reviews

Users broadly praise PitchLab for accurate, actionable pitching metrics and the convenience of mobile data/video, with many calling it a game‑changer and excellent value. However, several reviews highlight reliability issues and inconsistent readings, along with feature gaps like adjustable pitching distance. Pricing and subscription options are also a recurring topic, including requests for a clearer free trial and more flexible plans. Overall, strong potential with notable caveats around reliability and feature completeness.
Pros
  • Highly accurate pitch tracking and metrics (often compared to Trackman).
  • Mobile access to metrics and video on a smartphone, enabling convenient development.
  • Strong value for money compared with traditional high-cost tech.
  • Widely regarded as a game-changing, powerful tool for pitcher development.
Cons
  • Reliability issues reported by users, including the app not working or failing to detect movement.
  • Pricing model concerns, with users wishing for lower prices or a more flexible monthly plan.
  • Missing features such as adjustable pitching distance (e.g., 50 feet) for certain leagues.
  • Unclear free trial duration/terms.

Not my favorite. Got out a pocket radar to check and was about 10 mph off every time. Maybe I set it up wrong but I followed the steps. Also, only 25 free pitches per month is ridiculous when most people do about 75 per session and throw multiple times a week. I usually try to not leave negative reviews but was honestly disappointed in this app.

I do like how pitch lab can be used to track throws and see your progress but I don’t think you should get 25 throws a month, take me for example I pitch at least 50 times a day so I think it should be least 25 a week because no one is pitching one time a day
