Bleeped Audiobooks

I’ve been extremely happy with Bleeped. This app has opened the door for me to enjoy so many audiobooks that I have otherwise skipped because of the excessive profanity. I love fantasy, and there are so many incredible stories in the genre, but it’s frustrating when unnecessary language distracts from an otherwise amazing book. Bleeped solves that problem for me. I also appreciate how flexible the app is. You can purchase audiobooks directly through the supported stores, and if a book isn’t available there, you can buy or download audiobooks you already own and upload them yourself. There’s a small learning curve if you haven’t done that before depending of where you got the audiobook from, but with a quick internet or AI search it’s easy to figure out, and having that option makes the app much more versatile. What really impressed me, though, was the customer support. I reached out with a feature request and received a response incredibly quickly both times. Not only did the developers acknowledge my suggestion, but they told me the feature was already being implemented in an upcoming update! It’s refreshing to see developers who are so responsive and genuinely committed to improving their product based on user feedback. The app does require a subscription, but for me it’s absolutely worth it. Being able to listen to books I used to avoid because of the language has made my audiobook library so much bigger. The app is thoughtfully designed, continues to improve with frequent updates, and gives control over what content they want filtered. If you’ve ever passed on a great audiobook because of the profanity or other content, I highly recommend giving Bleeped a try. It’s one of those rare apps that solves a problem I thought I’d just have to live with.

The concept of censoring an author’s work against without their consent because its content offends you is hilarious. Just like, turn the page, or don’t read it? Y’all are so sensitive you can’t hear the f word in your book? Grow up! The ux/ui is ugly, the app is slow and barely works, and the collection of books is so laughably bad. Glad the entire Jack Mars collection is available!! Is this is the greatest product to come out of the Huntsman school of business??
