The app often fails to transcribe reliably, only produces partial results, and does not reliably create bullet points or summaries. It crashes when interrupted by text messages, cannot transfer or print notes, and consumes excessive storage. Support and refund processes are described as unhelpful or unresponsive. Recent reviews

I have long Zoom and Teams sessions with clients every few days. OtteNotes does a much better job of transcribing and summarizing than if I relied on my scribbled notes. One caveat: a single transcription can fill 5+GB of space on your phone. You need to monitor that and delete regularly.

Do not confuse this for the credible app, Otter.AI. This app transcribed in other languages at times, doesn’t record the full length of the meeting, and the “Ask AI” feature forces the app to close. The app malfunctions consistently.
