User Reviews

Many reviews cite unreliable connectivity (Bluetooth/WiFi), with devices often not found or failing to reconnect. Pairing issues with Mega2/Exodus are common, along with crashes and occasional disappearance of the device from the app. Customer support is frequently criticized for slow, generic responses. A minority view is positive, noting improvements over older versions, simple/usable design, and basic control features. Overall, users see value in the app but are frustrated by stability, reliability, and support shortcomings.
Pros
  • App is considered an improvement over the older OUPES software in some reviews.
  • Some users find the app simple to use and usable for basic control.
  • A few reviewers describe the app as useful and able to show input watts and control time settings.
  • Certain comments praise the app as bringing functional value and basic operability despite glitches.
  • Multiple users acknowledge moments of successful operation and positive sentiment amidst issues.
Cons
  • Frequent connectivity failures and unreliable connections (Bluetooth/WiFi) with the device.
  • Poor/unstable device pairing and recognition; the Mega2 or Exodus often not found or only connected briefly.
  • Stability issues like the app crashing or becoming unresponsive on iPhone.
  • Poor customer support response times and generic email replies.
  • UX/UI and compatibility problems (screen-size login issues on small iPhones, primitive UI, and perceived lack of features compared to competitors).
Recent reviews
I have 3 Oupes power stations and 2 of them are the Exodus 1200. Even though I edit the name of each device in the app, the app does not save the changes, making it difficult to distinguish between the two Exodus 1200 units. And that is if I am lucky if the app connects to any units at all. App only intermittently connects to the 3 power stations during the day using wireless if not close enough for Bluetooth so it is hit or miss to check on the status of the units are change any of its settings.

The app is terrible. It deserves absolutely no star. I managed to install it after several tries and, when it finally worked, though the unit was on and running, the app wouldn’t connect to it.

The Oupes app is poor. Never connects and not sure why there is even an app.
