CatAI Pharmacy is a clinical safety tool that helps pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and hospital staff prevent one of the most common and dangerous categories of medication errors: Look-Alike, Sound-Alike (LASA) confusions.

Studies consistently rank LASA mix-ups among the leading causes of preventable dispensing errors. Two medications can share nearly identical packaging, strikingly similar names, or comparable pill sizes — and a moment of inattention is all it takes for the wrong drug to leave the counter. CatAI Pharmacy puts an AI safety net between the shelf and the patient.

How it works

1. Photograph a medication package with your phone.
2. Our AI engine compares the image against your pharmacy's catalog along three independent dimensions — visual similarity, textual/name similarity, and size similarity — and produces a combined risk score.
3. If LASA matches are detected, the app shows them side-by-side so staff can verify before dispensing. If no matches are found, you get an immediate "All clear."
