User Reviews

Users praise Raristone for accurate and fast rock/mineral identifications and its educational value, with a user-friendly interface. However, a large and repeated theme is billing trouble: multiple unauthorized charges, difficulty canceling, and ongoing charges after cancellation, with reports of unresponsive support. Some reviews also note occasional inaccuracies in identifications. Overall, the app is seen as a strong learning tool when charges are resolved, but the subscription and billing issues severely impact trust and usability.
Pros
  • Accurate and fast rock/mineral identification
  • Educational content about specimens (hardness, color, details)
  • User-friendly / easy to use
  • Instant results and helpful information (including detecting real vs fake)
  • Shows value or worth of stones (when available)
Cons
  • Billing and charges issues: repeated unauthorized charges, double charges, and unclear pricing
  • Cancellation problems: inability to cancel and ongoing charges after cancellation
  • Poor or unresponsive customer support
  • Perceived as scam by some users; charge disputes and confusion
  • Inaccuracies in identifications for some specimens

Asked to cancel and they continue to build me monthly. I’ve reached out to company and still continue to be billed.

I did the one year subscription because I was very pleased with the results it gave. My subscription isn’t up until February of 2026. However, I did 2 stone checks last week and just check my bank account and was charged 39.99 twice. I guess for each scan? The stones aren’t even worth that much. I’m so infuriated. I instantly cancelled my subscription and it said I can still use the app through February. No I can’t. Not with each scan costing 39.99. 🤬🤬🤬

Will not allow me to cancel. Keeps charging my credit card and will not stop. I have been trying to cancel for several months. Scam site!
