CareSensor turns your Apple Watch into a structured motion sensor recorder for research, machine learning, rehabilitation, and any study that needs labelled inertial sensor data from a wearable.

DESIGNED FOR STRUCTURED DATA COLLECTION Every recording is tagged before it starts — participant, data category, sub-category, body side, and sampling rate. That metadata is embedded directly in the output filename so your dataset stays organized without any manual labelling after the fact. Fully customizable categories mean CareSensor fits any label schema.

SENSOR RECORDING Record Device Motion (attitude, quaternion, rotation rate, user acceleration, gravity) and Raw Accelerometer simultaneously at 5–100 Hz. Choose from four CoreMotion reference frames. A 5-second countdown lets the subject get into position before sampling begins.

LIVE SENSOR STREAMING Stream and visualise up to 2 sensor types in real time on both the Watch (5–30 Hz) and the iPhone. Verify signal quality before committing to a recording.

FLEXIBLE FILE MANAGEMENT Files are saved on the Watch. Send them to your iPhone individually (swipe to send) or all at once with progress tracking. Preview any CSV or JSON file instantly with native QuickLook, then export a ZIP archive — organised by participant if needed — ready for MATLAB, Python, R, or any analysis toolchain.

PARTICIPANT MANAGEMENT Manage participants, categories, and sub-categories on the iPhone and sync to the Watch with one tap. Default data includes 16 categories covering common rehabilitation exercises — or replace them with any classification structure you need.

PRIVACY-FIRST All sensor data and participant information stays entirely on your devices. No data is sent to any server. No account required. No ads.
