User Reviews

The MocmoHome app is largely criticized for instability and poor reliability. Repeated issues include frequent disconnects from lights, login and password problems, and occasional crashes or network errors. A notable number of reviews mention near-field requirements to control or set up lights, undermining usability. A minority report easy setup and some useful settings when it works. Overall, connectivity and authentication problems dominate, with only a handful of users reporting smooth operation.
Pros
  • Easy setup and the ability to network multiple lights
  • App offers numerous settings and customization options beyond the remote
  • When functioning properly, the app can connect to and control the lights
  • Some users report that the app works fine for them and provides more features than the remote
Cons
  • Frequent connectivity issues: the app often fails to connect to lights or stay connected
  • Login/ password problems: cannot sign in, password resets frequently fail, and navigation/logins are repeatedly disrupted
  • App crashes or becomes unresponsive with network errors
  • Proximity limitation: requires being near the receiver (close range) to control lights / setup
  • Overall reliability concerns and reports of frustration and poor value due to ongoing issues

MocmoHome app needs a major overhaul, also needs more preprogrammed events added. What they have preinstalled now is not much to speak of.

This is the worst app I’ve ever seen. Doesn’t connect to the lights most of the time. Now, I can’t even sign into the app. Have requested to reset password multiple times without response from site. So now I have lights I can’t use!

This app blows. It is a pain in the butt to set up, it doesn’t stay connected and logging back in is a head ache. My neighbor has had these lights for a couple of years and they always look great. He only puts them up during the Christmas holiday. I liked them so much that I purchased them. Even though they are very expensive I bought them. The lights themselves work great, as long as you use the remote. From the start I had difficulty with the app. For some reason the app doesn’t stay connected. I have now had the light in regular use for about 2 months. When I am actually able to log into the app I have to be right in front of the receiver for the app to talk with the lights. Recently I have been unable to log into the app. It keeps saying that my password is wrong. When I try to reset the password I am told a log ninjas been sent to my email. While checking my email I can find the sent email. I finally just gave up and stick with the remote. This really sucks because the remote is very limited. As of right now I would not recommend these lights for purchase.
