Kodist is a point-and-shoot camera app that produces lifelike film photographs.

Kodist eschews all AI enhancements by processing data directly from the sensor:

• Your shots are never too evenly lit
• There’s no excessive sharpening, aggressive denoising, or artificial smudging
• No weird, frowned-upon HDR artifacts along edges
• Natural, pleasant-looking film grain produced by physics, not algorithms

Your shots are rendered with your choice of professional film color profiles. They deliver natural, balanced colors that make your photos stand out in a sea of phone photos.

◎ Photos in 1 step

Point and shoot, and that’s it: your photo is saved to your iOS Photo Library, and the camera gets out of your way. You can review your last photo and adjust for a different exposure or focus.

Tap the viewfinder to focus and expose on a point of interest. Tap and hold to lock it in.

After you tap to focus/expose:

• Swipe up/down to adjust exposure
• Swipe left/right to manually focus — a focus peaking overlay helps you identify the area in focus
