A tuner for the use of tuning the drones and chanter of the bagpipe made easy and free.

Designed by Ethan Wang, SparrowTone is a free tuner solely for the bagpipes. It has 3 displays, each for letting you tune a certain part of the bagpipe: a line graphic display showing pitch history, a chanter graph showing the average pitch of each note, and a simple graphic display specifically designed for tuning drones in a band setting.

Thinking about using a hand held device? SparrowTone can get super precise: up to a tenth of a cent! As precise as a physical tuner, SparrowTone is also FREE!

This is everything you really need in a bagpipe tuner. It’s very similar to the Blair Braw tuner, but you don’t have to pay to get all the notes on the graph. Just open the tuner, set your phone down nearby, and play a tune or two. It will give you a readout on how every note is in relation to the calibrated pitch. What’s really great is that you can manually adjust the calibration afterward to put your LA as the calibration pitch and adjust the other notes from there.
