Velindre KeepMeSafe

Symptoms & side effects checklist, provide an update on your health and well-being and request contact or communication with your clinical team.

Velindre KeepMeSafe is a patient-facing mobile app that hosts patient 'checklist' functionality, enabling SACT/Chemotherapy patients to share the status of their health and well-being with the clinical team, prior to progressing with their 'next treatment'. Completing the checklist, also allows a patient to share information relating to any symptoms or side-effects experienced, 'since their last treatment'.

The Velindre KeepMeSafe app is provided by Galactig and administered by Velindre University NHS Trust and will be used by invited Velindre Cancer Centre patients Virtual Assessment Pathway (VAP) Clinic participants only. To access the app functionality, patients will require a unique access code, provided by the clinical team.

You will receive scheduled ‘push notifications’ inviting you to complete your VAP Clinic checklist at regular intervals, as part of your treatment pathway. This provides the opportunity for ongoing engagement with your clinical team.

Co-design and development of the Velindre KeepMeSafe by Velindre University NHS Trust and Galactig. User testing was completed by both the clinical team and a small cohort of current VAP Clinic patients.
