TRUCE Family helps parents teach their kids how to have healthy mobile device usage boundaries. TRUCE Family establishes mobile device use boundaries through iOS Parental Controls: Parents set reasonable limits and children maintain access within those limits. TRUCE Family keeps specific apps available for reasons such as homework time, family quiet times, driving, and school times.

TRUCE Family adds an extra layer of convenience for parents who can set controls depending on the child’s environment and situation, making their Parental Controls flexible, automatic, and easy. For example, TRUCE Family helps parents specify times/locations to disable apps. This automated situational intelligence facilitates a technology “truce” between children and parents and supports children’s academic success and family wellbeing.

Example Features:

Homework time: Specify a location and schedule where only access to learning apps are available.

Quiet time: Specify a time of day when kids should take a break from their mobile devices.

School time: Specify the school campus location, combined with a school schedule (example 7:15 am to 2:30 pm) where application usage should be minimized. School time helps children avoid the temptation to use their mobile device while at school, reducing the chances that a teacher may confiscate their device.

Driving time: Automatically limit distractions when your teen is driving.

Families who use compatible camera hardware can also pair an optional in-vehicle camera accessory for driving-session video event clips and trip review. Camera hardware is optional and not required for the core parental control features of TRUCE Family.
