User Reviews

Users broadly praise Freeletics for its adaptable workouts, clear guidance, and reliability for busy people, with real progress for many. However, recurring complaints center on repetitive programming, limited customization/feedback, potential injury risk, problematic pricing and renewals, and onboarding or device-integration problems that hinder usability.
Pros
  • Highly adaptable and customizable workouts that adjust to user needs
  • Clear guidance and coaching-like instruction that substitutes for a personal trainer
  • Reliable and convenient for busy schedules, with long-term usability
  • Visible progress and results for many users (strength gains, improved performance)
  • Positive interface and overall user experience with varied workout options
Cons
  • Workouts feel repetitive and not sufficiently adaptive, with same exercises repeated across rounds
  • Limited customization and feedback mechanisms (unable to fine-tune warm-ups/cool-downs; feedback not actionable)
  • Injury risks for some users (back/knee issues) due to challenging exercises and lack of injury-aware options
  • Pricing, renewals, and refunds issues (unclear auto-renew charges; refunds difficulties; lifetime promises)
  • Onboarding/UX problems (broken setup flow) and device integration gaps (offline usage limitations, Apple Watch support)

I signed up through the instagram ad recently for the 7-for-1 bundle that I saw. After paying I’ve gotten no information on how to get the other apps to work. No emails, no messages. There’s literally no way to send a direct message to customer support. I’ve gotten no response on messages to instagram, and their FAQ is useless or actual help

I have been using Freeletics for 5 years now, ever since Fitbit cancelled their Coach program, which was another blind decision by Google. But, I found Freeletics to be better in multiple ways, especially treating you and pushing you like a real athlete. I am 64 years old, and I need to be pushed. Freeletics falls down in the specific exercises where it does not tell or show you which muscles each exercise will stretch or work. It shows a general view of the muscles for a circuit, but it should show that information on individual exercises (when you click on them for instructions) and describe the pull or push of the individual muscles you are working during the specific exercise. That would be more helpful like a coach, rather than a simple timer. Less important, I want to stop being asked the same thing each day and prefer to turn off all the questions about sharing the workout and results.

I have found this to be so helpful in generating varied and challenging workouts that I feel are actually making a difference. Simple and intuitive.
