User Reviews

Reviewers consistently praise Pep's broad GLP-1 tracking (injections, weight, meals, hydration) and its user-friendly, all-in-one design with reminders and photo-based meal logging. However, recurring pain points include an unreliable food scanner and a limited food database, which hampers meal tracking. Billing and trial issues (unexpected charges, cancellation/refund problems) appear in multiple reviews. Some users report stability issues (freezes, scanner errors) and a lack of analytics (no averages, week-to-week comparisons, or fat/macros). A few UX quirks (Recent Meals macro behavior, saving meals, and goal updates) also hinder smooth use.
Pros
  • Comprehensive GLP-1 journey tracking across injections/meds, weight, meals, hydration, and symptoms.
  • User-friendly, streamlined interface that is easy to navigate.
  • Helpful reminders for daily tasks (water, supplements, injections) and progress tracking.
  • Easy food/meal logging, including photo-based entries for convenience.
  • All-in-one app that centralizes tracking, notes, and progress in one place.
Cons
  • Food tracking is hampered by an unreliable barcode scanner and a limited food database.
  • Billing and trial issues include unexpected charges and difficulties cancelling/refunding.
  • Stability problems such as freezing/crashes and recurring scanner errors.
  • Lack of advanced analytics: no at-a-glance protein/fiber totals, week-to-week comparisons, or trend visuals.
  • UX quirks that cause logging friction, like Recent Meals macro behavior and issues saving meals or updating goals.

There are many different apps on the store that do similar things. Obviously I haven’t tried ALL of them, but I have tried a good majority of all the other “popular” ones. I’ve tried 6 of them and this one by far is THE BEST out of those popular ones. It has pretty much EVERYTHING you need and want on it, and u like some of the other ones, it isn’t complicated whatsoever to understand and figure out how to use or check your stats. The main screen is put together very neatly, they offer a nice trial for if you’re unsure about paying. The only thing I kind of don’t like is it is a little pricey, 10 a month, or 40 a year. Obviously the 40 a year is cheaper but kind of expensive to just dish out suddenly for an app. I’m on the fence myself on whether I want to pay for it or not. It’s definitely worth it, but with low income it’s not really an easy purchase to decide on. Anyways, thanks for making this app less complicated than the others, but still more in depth for what you get !

So far seems pretty cool. No instructions, just winging it

I’m happy to have found this app for my GLP-1 journey. It has some very helpful things. I’m hoping they continue to improve the food logging and it would be nice if they added fat to the macros. The food logging is a little clunky so I use a different app for that, but I love everything else this one does.
