Love the grill; hate the app. It always connects during initial start-up, but then you notice your probe and cooking chamber temps are not updating. Also lose the ability to adjust ANYTHING thru the app (temp alarms, cooking temp, timers, etc). Restart of the app temporarily fixes the issue, but it just disconnects again and forces you to close and restart over and over. Contacted customer service, who were friendly and quick to respond, but said they needed a video (?????) to help diagnose the issue. 🤷🏼 When I explained I wasn’t going to take the time to do that and didn’t understand how it would help or what it would actually capture, they responded that they had forwarded my issue to their engineers, who also said they needed a video. Uhhhhh…it connects, then disconnects, and then reconnects if you restart the app. Pretty straight forward to me. Again, what is a video going to show that my description, and the other numerous reviews describing the same exact thing, didn’t provide? Some of these similar reviews are over a year old, so I again explained I wasn’t going to waste my time trying to record a connectivity issue that they’re apparently unwilling / unable to address. Again, happy with the grill..hate the app.

Not to be trusted for long cooking times. You look at it from time to time while smoking only to realize the probe temp is no longer changing. Close the app, reopen and it connects but it’s useless if you have set an alarm.
