Overall, Purple is highly praised for its fresh puzzle concepts and strong level design, continuing the beloved Bart Bonte color-series. Players enjoy the clever mechanics and the ad-free experience with helpful hints. However, frequent technical issues—especially level 19 being frustratingly hard—diminish the experience. Reported bugs (soft-locks on early levels, unresponsive controls on levels 21 and 18, hook glitches) and occasional hint connectivity problems/ lost connection messages can block progress. Despite that, fans remain engaged and eager for more colors or new installments.

Cons

Level 19 is extremely challenging and frequently frustrating without hints.
Hint system can fail (hint button not working or shows connectivity errors).
Various bugs blocking progress (soft-lock on level 14; level 21 swipe issues; level 18 hook not attaching; weight-on-40 hook issue).
Some levels are very hard without hints, requiring reliance on hints.
Occasional audio issues (music not playing) reported by a minority of players.

Recent reviews

Purple might be my new favorite in this Color Series of puzzles. There are some very cool new puzzle concepts in this game that I haven’t seen before.
