User Reviews

Major themes across reviews are privacy concerns due to mandatory accounts for Bluetooth control, and reliability issues from frequent disconnections and the need to re-pair lights. Cross-device control is inconsistent, and usability frictions include hard-to-tap controls and limited iPad UI. A minority praise basic functionality, grouping with presets, and staying connected after switching apps. Overall, privacy and stability are the dominant problems, with limited broadly shared positive experiences.
Pros
  • Group lighting control with presets makes it easy to manage multiple lights.
  • The app can remember your last state and stay connected, enabling quick adjustments after switching apps.
Cons
  • Requires creating a personal account / collects data for Bluetooth use, raising privacy concerns.
  • Lights frequently disconnect or require re-pairing, causing workflow interruptions.
  • Inability or poor support for cross-device control (you can't reliably control lights across devices).
  • Touch targets for controls are hard to hit, making UI feel fiddly.
  • Perceived poor developer support / frequent updates that don’t seem to fix core issues.

With very little instructions, I was finally able to figure out how to login and get past the initial set up. I was able to connect my panel and of course it has not worked since. The app will not see the panel again no matter what I do. I can tell by the frequency that this app is updated that it is poorly supported by the developer. I’m returning the light panel, lesson learned.

These lights aren’t cheap and it’s frustrating to see such a lackluster app experience. You can’t control the lights across devices and the lights regularly disconnect requiring you to reconnect in a very clumsy way. I bought 10 lights for a permanent studio and it’s such a pita to operate especially when the app decides to log me out and then I have to reconnect each light all over again. Also no iPad app is weird considering the Sidus pro app which I paid for worked well on the tablet.

Requiring someone to give you their personal information like a phone number or email address just to operate a Bluetooth device that you’ve paid for is insidious! It proves that the Company values invading your privacy over creating products with high integrity and quality! No one wants another marketing notification interrupting their workflow and life… NO ONE!
