I tried all kind of audio training online courses, web site, pink noise, you name it. But nothing has been so clear as Mixsense. Thank you so much and thanks too all those who take their time to create all this amazing training.

The app has a good looking and easy to use interface. I really love the idea, but there’s a few downsides.. first thing that bothers me is that on the eq “challenge”, they apply eq to the whole mix. In the real world, we’d be listening to specific instruments in the whole mix so that we can settle them in better. How is it training if the bottom or top end is boosted on the mix as a whole? That one seems to be a bit of a waste of time. The compression ear training is the main reason I downloaded the app. I haven’t seen this implemented in any other app and it would be a game changer.. Buttttt, it’s behind a paywall. I’d totally get it if the app was $6-$15 bucks to own, or a couple bucks a month for a subscription. To ask $24(if I remember correctly, might have been more) it INSANE! I know a lot of work went into the app and it shows. And one should definitely get paid for their work. But over $20 a month!? I don’t even think SoundGym asks that much and they offer way more… I’m not trying to be super negative or bash on anyone in any way. I think the app has tons of potential and thousands of people would implement it into their daily schedule… but that paywall is killer.

MixSense is such a gem! I was looking for something to help me with my mixing skills, but I didn’t expect it to be this fun. Turning ear training into a game was a genius move it makes the whole process feel less like work and more like a challenge I actually want to keep coming back to. Some of the exercises are tough, but that’s what makes it rewarding when I get them right. I can already feel my ear improving, and it’s cool to notice details I would’ve missed before. Whether you’re just starting out or already know your way around EQs and compressors, I think it’s a great tool to sharpenskills. Highly recommend for anyone in the audio world. I just downloaded it and can’t put it down.
