User Reviews

Reviewers generally praise Oasis as a helpful, one-stop source for health-related product information, with lab-verified data and a user-friendly interface. However, recurring complaints center on a costly subscription, data quality issues (duplicates and inconsistent ratings), unreliable barcode scanning, trust concerns with crowd-sourced data, and incomplete retailer coverage. Overall, Oasis offers valuable health insights but is hindered by price, reliability, and data-coverage problems that deter long-term use.
Pros
  • Very helpful for health-conscious users; serves as a one-stop source for what’s good to buy or avoid.
  • Data is often lab-tested or clearly explained, with details on ingredients and health effects.
  • User-friendly and easy to navigate; provides clear scores and product insights.
  • Broad scope that includes ingredients, potential contaminants, and even water/air quality data.
  • Valued by users who feel it supports health management and may help with weight goals.
Cons
  • Steep price with a free trial followed by about $50/year; many users dislike the paywall.
  • Inconsistent data quality: duplicate listings, conflicting ratings, and gaps across retailers.
  • Barcode scanning and search functionality frequently fail or report network errors.
  • Trust concerns due to crowd-sourced data and reliance on paywalled information.
  • Data gaps for popular retailers (e.g., Trader Joe’s, Sam’s Club) and incomplete coverage.

Oasis claims that bone broth less healthy than Oreos, embarrassing.

App doesn’t work right. Scanned an item that said no hormones or antibiotics added, the app said non specified. It also said Oreos are healthier than BONE BROTH which is completely false.

Probably the best health app like this out right now, I really appreciate everything it accounts for because ingredients aren’t the only thing that can affect a product. This is way better than olive, but I don’t have a number of issues. Maybe I’m just misunderstanding the system but the same product can have several different scores and pages which makes it hard to determine if I need to avoid it or not. I see that they’re listed in different categories sometimes but i don’t see why that matters foo much. At the end of the day if it’s meant to be ingested, it doesn’t matter if it’s considered “frozen food” or “meat.” I would also like an explanation on why products receive the rating they do because sometimes all the ingredients come back positive but it’ll still be pretty low. I assume this is because of the processing or the container material it’s held in, as they have references to that but it’d be nice to explicitly state that if it’s the case. The recommended products that are suggested when you scan something could be a lot better. For example I scanned my facial cleanser and it ranked pretty low, so it’d be nice to see better options for facial cleansers but instead it’s all condensed into a single category so it’ll just show you moisturizers or something. And lastly, I don’t know if it’s just me but I’m not able to save more than 1 item before the button glitches out and doesn’t allow me to press it.
