User Reviews

Review consensus highlights Stellar Traveler’s striking visuals and extensive content as strengths, appealing to fans of idle/gacha mechanics. However, many criticisms center on monetization and grind (upgrade failures and scarce resources), painful progression gaps, and inconsistent balance. Additional negatives include long walls of text with poor localization, small UI text, and a sense of repetition that makes the game feel shallow to some players. Overall, it’s visually appealing and feature-rich for some, but feels pay-to-win and tedious for others.
Pros
  • Strong visual appeal with high-quality graphics and a retro/mobile RPG aesthetic.
  • Rich content and progression with lots of activities, leveling paths, and ongoing updates.
  • Nostalgic vibe that appeals to players who love classic RPG art styles.
  • Idle/gacha core concept has broad appeal for fans of the genre when executed well.
Cons
  • Pay-to-win feel with heavy monetization and upgrade costs, plus real concern about wasting resources on failures.
  • Grindy progression with scarce materials, long wait times, and gating (treasure pieces, star shards).
  • Imbalanced power scaling and unclear balance between player and enemy/ boss power.
  • Overwhelming walls of text, poor localization, and small font sizes, with little to no voice acting.
  • Repetitive or shallow core gameplay that some players find dull or unenjoyable.
Recent reviews
The game is actually fun but once you hit lvl 160 the progression becomes slow and I mean REALLY SLOW, which is sad because this game is extremely fun, has amazing art style, is just good all around even the attack animations are great. But why the devs made the progression absolutely stall to a halt at lvl 160 is truly Beyond me. Had to uninstall, just become immediately boring and the only thing left to do was login for dailies which give you basically no XP. The worst part is that my team is far above what the story quests have been throwing at me lately. I just can’t progress the story because “get to account lvl 170” and that alone is taking days. Great game, ruined by the devs that made it. Sad.

Never putting another dime into the sellers and developers. Learn how to make a platform for your communities to chat with. It’s going to be eos soon as there also seems to be another Stellar Traveler game coming out it’s been less than a year. Obviously cash grab.
