User Reviews

Overall, RetroHub is praised for free access to a broad retro library (including Pokémon and Nintendo titles) and generally decent performance. Key drawbacks are intrusive ads, unreliable save data, and various game-loading issues (ROM availability or inaccurate listings). Some games lag, and UI limitations—small screen, lack of overlay controls, and no ad-free option—reduce usability. A few reviews also warn about ROM sources. Despite these, it remains a compelling no-cost way to play classic games, with room for reliability and UX improvements.
Pros
  • Free to use with no upfront cost
  • Broad library and compatibility (Nintendo titles, Pokémon, exclusives)
  • Generally decent performance / lower lag relative to some rivals
  • Allows playing classic games without owning old hardware
  • Language options / localization flexibility
Cons
  • Intrusive ads / frequent interruptions (ads-heavy experience)
  • Save data issues (corruption and load failures)
  • Game-loading and listing problems (ROM availability, incorrect listings, redirects)
  • Performance can be laggy on some titles
  • UI/UX limitations (small screen, lack of overlay controls, no ad-free option)

I’ve been using Retrohub for a bit now and it’s been great for playing old and fan made Pokemon games! 10/10, would recommend

If you are looking for retro games, then step right up! Because you can play lots of Nintendo games, even Japanese exclusives! Best part, you don’t have to spend a dime, It is all free! You need VPN to stay safe though. But still a good deal!
