User Reviews

Users praise MLO3 for strong cloud sync, cross‑platform use, deep folder-based organization, and powerful project planning features. The main drawbacks focus on mobile limitations (recurrence, widgets, watch), missing print support, and the perception that desktop use is necessary for full functionality, plus licensing concerns. Overall, it’s lauded for its configurability and GTD suitability, with a learning curve and some platform gaps on mobile.
Pros
  • Cloud sync across multiple platforms and devices (iOS, Windows, Mac, Android) keeps data up to date everywhere.
  • Deep, flexible hierarchical organization with folders and files, enabling extensive project structures.
  • Robust project planning features such as subtasks and task dependencies, supporting complex workflows.
  • Cross‑platform availability with a one‑time purchase model that users feel offers long-term value.
  • Highly configurable and powerful, well-suited for GTD-style task management and large projects.
Cons
  • Mobile recurrence options are limited compared to the desktop version; full recurring features often require desktop setup.
  • Mobile UI limitations: no iOS Home Screen widgets and Apple Watch management can be constrained by platform changes (e.g., 3D Touch removal).
  • Printing is not supported in the app, which can be a drawback for some workflows.
  • The app is not fully standalone; users sometimes feel they must use the desktop version for optimal performance and advanced features.
  • Some users dislike the licensing model (e.g., separate payments for iPhone use) and note a learning curve to unlock the full potential.

...and I really like it. Cloud sync keeps MLO on all three of my platforms updates. Recommend it highly.

Great app. I also use MLO Windows. The iOS needs updating so Home Screen widgets can be used. The Apple Watch version is stuck on the starred view because Apple took away 3D Touch on the Apple Watch.
