Really good game, easy to understand, nice art. Good mechanics. Really short though, feels like a demo, finished way too quickly. A couple more campaigns and generals, units and levels would be nice.

Basically? Okay so, biggest improvement would be making the building upgrades passives that go between levels. I know there would be some people who would look at this and go “BUT THAT TAKES AWAY THE DIFFICULTY!” No, it doesn’t. An extra troop/item a round, +1-2 army space, increased fire/poison damage or more health means NOTHING if you don’t have the actual requirements to activate them, especially when in survival mode you’re basically dropping like flies constantly cause you don’t have the items to make your characters broken while the enemy army snowballs fast to overpowered to the point that even with almost all the upgrades I’m SOL due to never having the right combo of items. If you don’t wanna do that, then make it so at least survival mode has less enemies and they DONT snowball to the point of unbeatable around round 5. “OH YOU’RE JUST WHINING-“ it’s a single player mode and I haven’t even gotten to see anything else other than the most basic units no matter what strategy I employ, and with only missing out on like two upgrades that won’t help me (the last two in the Gaul perk I think) it’s frustrating to feel like absolutely nothing I did actually meant anything, it doesn’t make me want to play more, it makes me HAPPY I didn’t spend anything on it with the amount of frustration it brings me. Or if you don’t want to do either of these major changes, then uncap the centurion perk. “OH BUT THAT WILL MAKE IT BROKEN-“ THAT’S THE POINT. I LITERALLY HAVE ENEMIES HITTING ME FOR A HUNDRED PLUS DAMAGE AND ALMOST INSTANTLY KILLING MY UNITS, I CANT OUT DAMAGE THEM, I CANT TANK THEM, NOTHING I DO WORKS. GIVE ME A OVERPOWERED UNIT FROM THE START THAT TAKES ME GRINDING TO GET AND I WILL ACTUALLY ENJOY THE GAME AND STOP FEELING LIKE IM WASTING MY TIME, WHICH IS THE WORST THING YOU WANNA DO FOR SOMEONE WHO’S PLAYING A GAME. Other than that the game is actually pretty good, take the points or nah, idc, but genuinely I know at least with how the game is now it’s basically only getting the “git gud lol” crowd.
