Auralize: Sound Level Meter

Auralize is an acoustic measurement tool for iPhone that combines sound level meter and decibel meter features to measure, record, and document sound levels in the field.

Built by acoustic and computer engineers, Auralize uses a calibration correction factor obtained in a laboratory. Up to 4000 Hz, the app qualifies as a Class 2 measurement, delivering reliable accuracy for technical fieldwork.

Track sound levels in dB(A) in real time, view the equivalent level (Leq), the maximum level, and sound pressure (SPL) data with acoustic weighting. During measurement, follow sound variations on a chart updated in real time. More than measuring, Auralize helps you keep the full context of every measurement organized — from the field record to the final report.

REAL-TIME MEASUREMENT Track sound levels in dB(A), the equivalent level (Leq), the maximum level, and sound pressure (SPL) information throughout the measurement.

MEASUREMENT CHART See in real time how the sound level varies over the measurement and clearly follow how the environment behaves.

AUDIO RECORDING Save the measurement together with a WAV-format audio recording, keeping a sound record of the analyzed moment.

MEASUREMENT WITH CAMERA Perform acoustic measurements with photo and video, combining visual context with sound recording and real-time acoustic, location, and time data.

PHOTOS AND LOCATION Add photos and location information to measurements, including coordinates and city, to record the context of every analysis carried out in the field.
