QUEST AND ARENA

I’ll address it upfront—this isn’t a traditional RPG in the sense that it has a grand story, quirky, lovable party members, and a big, open environment to explore. It has none of that. What it does have, however, are an addictive grinding-based progression system (you fight enemies, gain experience, and level up), MS Paint-style enemy designs that’ll make you laugh out loud (my favorite’s the Skyward Griffin), a dungeon mode, light, simple PVP, and an almost-class system. Regarding the class system, I say “almost” because each class plays exactly the same, but leveling up in each particular class increases different stats. You have to level up in all four classes if you want good stats. Anyway, the grinding’s almost soothing and great for short bursts of play.

This game is just grinding. Just simple, relaxing grinding. It’s portrait, only needs one finger, is very low attention, and is addicting and satisfying. Maybe there’s only a specific type of person that all sounds good to, but if you’re that person, this is the game for you.
