Robosen Toy Story Buzz

Not good game

While I haven’t been the biggest fan of this toy due to the lack of commands and voice clips available through Robosen, it’s still a cool toy. I just charged him up today after almost two years of him being a paperweight, and my son and I had fun messing around with him. However, I found that the phrase selection that I needed to download wasn’t really that abundant. They have five Toy Story movies and those are the only phrases and actions available?! It seems like for the price of this thing, they could have way more voice commands and movie monologue. I wish Buzz was more AI to where you could have him learn stuff and stick to it, but the real issue for me is that he’s pretty limited once his batch of lines are run through. No automatic helmet release sucks, too. I’m not expecting him to jump off a table and jump on the dog and ride it around the house, but for the money, Buzz could say way more than what he does. A fin load option for digitized voices would be excellent. Anyone who can crab sound clips from the films could easily load it into the app and have Buzz say whatever from the movie(s). Unfortunately, that’s a no. On the plus side, you can program him to move around, but what’s the point if you can already remotely control him with the app? Or how about do a new firmware add on allowing you to tell him to walk 30 steps forward and do a 180 and say “To infinity and beyond”? A more immersive experience to be as incredible as his tech specs would justify recommending this thing to someone else. Great construction. The materials appear to be top notch and I had only glitch years ago when I bought him. I hear the UK buyers have a lot of issues with theirs. My US one is pretty good. I like it a lot, but love is too strong of a word. Now, as far as the dumb comment I saw above about someone being “made” to buy this product so they could use the app; what the hell do you think? Of course, you have to buy Buzz to use the app. There’s no false advertising here. This is the app for the people who have purchased the Robosen Toy Story Buzz Lightyear. How dumb can you be? Duh. lol.
