User Reviews

Mozi positions itself as a privacy-first app to help you coordinate real-life meetups with friends and travelers. Users praise private, plan-based sharing, serendipitous reunions in new cities, and a clean, approachable interface. The app shines for contact management—saving numbers, grouping by location, and showing who will be nearby. However, recurring concerns about privacy trade-offs (sharing contacts to invite) and a small user base limit its usefulness. Some reviewers also call the UI feeling dated, note forced updates, and request more login options and calendar integrations. Overall, Mozi is promising but not yet broadly proven.
Pros
  • Privacy-focused design that lets you share and connect privately without broadcasting to everyone.
  • Makes in-person meetups easy and serendipitous, especially when traveling or in new cities.
  • Intuitive, visually appealing interface that feels simple and friendly.
  • Strong contact management and location features: auto-saves to your phone, shows who will be nearby, and aids planning.
  • Not just another social app—Mozi prioritizes real-world connections and private interactions over public feeds.
Cons
  • Privacy concerns: you must share your entire contacts list to invite others, which many reviews view as a flaw.
  • Low user base and weak network effects limit usefulness.
  • Perceived outdated or stale design compared with modern apps.
  • Forced updates before opening and data usage, plus roaming issues.
  • Login friction: some users want an email-based login rather than Apple ID.

Amazing app! So fun to share and document private get togethers with friends, as well connect with friends while traveling!! I’m generally a private person and don’t like broadcasting things on most social media platforms. This is much better because I get to only connect with people that were a part of the moment.
