User Reviews

IdleSphere is praised for an engaging idle core and strong visuals, with depth in sphere upgrades and challenges. However, players frequently note a lack of tutorial, confusing currencies, slow long-term progression, and performance/UX frictions that hinder smooth progression.
Pros
  • Engaging idle gameplay that players can sink hours into.
  • Beautiful visuals and polished visual design.
  • Deep, varied mechanics with sphere upgrades, battles, and multiple challenges.
Cons
  • Lack of tutorial or clear instructions makes core systems hard to understand for new players.
  • Progression can stall or be extremely slow, with long time gates and grindy challenges.
  • Currency system is confusing and some currencies feel useless or underutilized.
  • Performance/UX issues: heavy GUI updates, upgrade resets after prestige, and limited automation options.

This seems like a fun game to sink a lot of time into, but I have absolutely no idea what I’m doing. There’s no tutorial but there’s also no location to go to for a FAQ or an index or anything of the sort. I’m just pressing a button to make more colors but I have no idea what the button I’m pressing is doing or what the colors represent or what I’m gaining. I’m truly just confused and lost which is a shame because I really enjoy games like this, but it’s a seemingly complex game that would do well with instructions.

After playing this game for 2 months, I got to a point where I literally can’t progress because my accuracy is too low and the challenges are too hard, taking me days upon days to complete. I login once or twice a day to cash in my time skip, using that as my main fuel to keep attempting to make any progress (almost never does anything) Arcs take extremely long to get and offer incredibly little value to the other aspects of the game, especially since void is set on a different timer and can’t be farmed with time skip. I think it only takes half an hour for a void, but you have to manually click it to complete it, so I’m not going to bother checking it every half an hour or hour. Stuck at around 280 for the orbit prestige, since the first celestial prestige takes NoNoG to get to (1e300.) the challenges were pretty easy to get to until I got the the logarithmic and glass challenges, which are completely luck and time based, ruining the aspect of the other challenges, which uses handicaps, multiplier functions, defects, and other cool things. All in all, was a decent game, but I don’t see it getting any better anywhere.

This game is an amazing game, especially for a smaller company. If you want no forced ads, a satisfactory idle sphere-based game, this is the game you are looking for. Although it can be a little confusing at first, you can quickly get the hang of it but a tutorial would be nice. A few suggestions: changing the battle system to a sphere-making factory or something, it would make it fit more. And the ability to turn off certain spheres from appearing on your screen would increase performance and make the game more enjoyable.
