BirdiCam

This free app is intended to be extremely simple to use, with a single list design of Webcam addresses that makes it easy for users who may struggle with more complex app designs involving multiple tabs, windows and complex navigation routes through the app. • BirdiCam leverages the power of the built-in AVPlayer in the iPhone or iPad which can natively stream webcam video and audio complying with Apple specifications for m3u8 HLS webstreams provided by HTTP or HTTPS connections. Other formats and internet protocols are not supported. • One user can curate lists of webcams and easily distribute those to others users with a tap-and-go import, thereby empowering users who may struggle with complex app designs • Webcam lists can be shared using Mail, Message and saved to Files or other file storage apps using the built-in Apple sharing services. • Individual webcams can be shared from BirdiCam with single swipe-right • Webcams can be imported into BirdiCam from files with one tap in the Files app • Webcam lists can also be opened in BirdiCam with one tap in the Files app to edit, re-order, delete and add other webcams from other files, then share with Mail, Message or save to Files app or other file storage apps. This allows multiple different combinations of webcams to be saved and loaded at will. • Use Quick Look in Files App to view the contents of files and then open in BirdiCam with one tap. • Multiple App Settings can be shared as a single file, or individually with a swipe-right. • Import settings into BirdiCam with a single tap from Files App, Message or Mail, to apply those settings to BirdiCam automatically. • App Settings can also be packaged together with a webcams list to import with one tap into Birdicam: this empowers users who might struggle with setting-up and loading webcams by themselves. • Adding and setting-up new webcams is simplified by allowing direct paste from a Web browser, using the URL Wizard, or by entering the details using a Builder window which breaks-down complex web addresses into individual components which the app then assembles for you. • Webcam lists can have pictures and images assigned to a webcam for quick recognition. Load images from Photos Library, files or paste from clipboard. Capture screen grabs as a thumbnail from the webcam videostream to identify the webcam in a list. • Unique row colours can be chosen that makes webcams easier to identify by users with difficulty reading text. • A live preview video of the webcam can be displayed in the webcams list window, making identification easy, and allowing all the webcams to be monitored together without opening. • Tap to open webcam in fullscreen, and play Picture-In-Picture • Tap Snapshot button to capture video stream and save or share • Accessibility integrated throughout with dynamic text size for vision impaired users and use of high-contrast colour palettes to assist users with impaired colour vision, together with icons and other cues.
