Tarawera Trail Story is the wonderful way to experience our place and our history, shared by our own Maori people. This 5hr beautiful self guided trail walk, is truely enhanced by the fascinating stories and amazing history of this our homeland.

HOW IT WORKS Your virtual tour guide, an audio narrator, pops up automatically as you reach a point of interest. But, The Tarawera Trail Story App is much more than just an audio tour. As you get close to points of interest, your smartphone provides historical and cultural storytelling, blending the past, present and future. Unlike a fully guided tour, you decide when and how long to stay at each stop.
