User Reviews

Long-time users praise Color Up for its calming, engaging color-by-number experience and previously vivid, lifelike 3D artwork. Recent updates are blamed for flattening art, reducing the daily supply of rich images, and complicating color placement. Pros include relaxation and nostalgia; cons center on diminished art quality and subscription issues. Many are considering canceling or switching unless the original vibrant style is restored.
Pros
  • Calming and relaxing experience that helps focus
  • Historically vivid, lifelike artwork with depth (3D shading) prior to updates
  • Widely regarded as a favorite coloring app with positive sentiment and nostalgia
  • Engaging color-by-number gameplay and overall enjoyment
Cons
  • Update changed art style to flat, dull colors with black outlines, reducing depth and realism
  • Fewer vivid/realistic pictures available daily; only a couple per day
  • Colors are harder to locate on the page, reducing relaxation and increasing stress
  • Subscription/account issues, with reports of unrecognized subscriptions and poor support
  • Potential churn as users threaten to delete or switch apps if the original style isn’t restored

Coloring variety is quite good but the ads keep directing off the coloring page the App Store. When click back to safari have to start over. Annoying and time consuming…should just be able to “x” off to continue…

I love this app, it’s very easy and not difficult to find the numbers. My only complaint though would be the colors appear flat now, less vibrant like they were last year and before. I’d love to see more book paiges and fantasy ones, like a potion shop or piano room.
