User Reviews

Reviews are mixed. Some users report real, quick earnings from surveys and view it as a solid payoff app, especially early on. However, many accounts repeatedly encounter screen-outs, payment delays or missing rewards, and strong privacy concerns with data collection. Technical glitches worsen the experience, and a subset views the app as deceptive. Overall, it can pay, but reliability and privacy issues are common themes.
Pros
  • Pays real money for time spent on surveys; some users report cashing out.
  • Initial surveys are easy to complete and can yield quick earnings.
  • Some reviewers consider it among the better paying survey apps.
  • Surveys are easier to earn from than playing games.
  • Some users report repeated earnings and cashouts over time.
Cons
  • Frequent screen-outs or disqualifications after answering questions, leading to no payment.
  • Payment issues such as delays, missing rewards, and progress not updating.
  • Significant data privacy concerns and requests for extensive personal information.
  • Technical glitches and timeouts (surveys failing to load, crashing, or timing out).
  • Perceived deceptive practices or scams by some reviewers.

Survey providers are screening out after a survey is completed. They ask opinions before demographics to get the data they want, then disqualify you to avoid paying. I recorded two sessions in which this took place, as well as screenshots of the responses to my tickets. They try to placate with cookie-cutter posts enumerating possible reasons for screening out, then pass the buck to the survey provider if you explain that none of the possibilities apply. They even have a copy-paste response claiming that the survey providers don't get your responses after screening you, which is not true. The app redirects to the survey provider's website. Five Surveys can't claw back your answers, when they're already on the provider's own server. If you want a legitimate platform, two that I know of are PaidViewpoint and Google Opinion Rewards, where they charge a minimum even for screenouts to deter disqualification fraud. You get fewer surveys, but you also waste a lot less time that you'll never get back. I await the developer's response, to see whether I should upload the videos to YouTube and social media. This may be the beginning of an overhaul, or the end of a brand. To the dev: screen-outs are not the problem. Deliberately delaying screen-outs until AFTER the survey is completed is the problem. As I already said, PaidViewpoint and Google Opinion Rewards prevent data harvesting by forcing a minimum payment ($.02 on PaidViewpoint, $.10 on Google) even for screen-outs. This forces survey providers to conduct honest campaigns by asking the demographics questions FIRST, and then asking the opinion questions after they qualify a target candidate. You're not gaslighting a novice. I know how surveys work. Do a Google search for "survey disqualification fraud." It's an actual term, which means intentionally placing demographic screening questions at the END of a survey, to ensure non-payment while keeping the data. The FTC prohibits unfair or deceptive acts or practices in commerce under Section 5 of the FTC Act, and does take action against platforms that promise compensation, and then systematically disqualify users after they have provided valuable data. Yes, disqualification fraud is a thing. And is rampant on your platform, because you're afraid to stand up to it. When the fraudsters ruin you, and Five Surveys has a 1.5 rating on the App Store, it will be just as much your fault as it is theirs, because you allowed it. Worse still, you could be on the hook legally, as you are knowingly and willingly complicit. I have given you the solution. It's up to you to use it before it's too late. You're welcome.
