The HDV CAM app shows promise for easy Wi-Fi setup and straightforward transfer of camera media to iPhone/iPad. When it works, users can download photos and videos into an app album and then into Photos. However, reliability is a major issue: the app often won’t open or crashes, connectivity and security problems prevent pairing, and media fails to download or save to the device.

Tried over and over to connect the camera to the app on my iPhone. I’ve tried scanning the QR code and manually doing so. It will not connect. Makes it kind of useless.
