Artwork/cover art handling is inconsistent: imported tracks can show very low-quality artwork or lack embedded art, and editing artwork/metadata is sometimes gated behind a paywall.
Lyrics support is inconsistent: embedded lyrics or syncing across formats is not reliably available, with some reports of no embedded lyrics.
Multiple UX/feature gaps and quirks: examples include a Most Played item bug, unclear album tab sorting, inability to reorder top tabs, and several navigation-related annoyances that users want addressed.

Recent reviews

Simply the best music player for local files I’ve found—and I’ve tried quite a few. There are a few minor, technical frustrations, but very understandable for a single-person developer. Two that come to mind are (a) a crash when dealing with the collection menus, and (b) the last.fm scrobbling feature does not have an offline log that I can figure out, so if you listen without wifi or cellular, those scrobbles are gone, unfortunately. Would be nice to see this feature! Quick tip for other users: Use Opus! It becomes transparent at much lower bitrates than mp3, ogg vorbis, &c.

The app feels quite nice, it would be nice to be able it to pull from a local dnla server to bypass the stupid apple devices path altogether. One thing that is missing is a CarPlay 👍 I found a few bugs that are quite critical to having a great experience. The random button does not work. It will play the original track that you selected many times. If you click on a track within an album and hit random to play the album in a different order the tracks will play like 5>9>5>7>7>5>5>5>2. Secondly the queue next button doesn’t work as it will insert the track in a random place in the queue. I really like this app but these features are quite essential for me so it’s important that they function.
