Cirno's Bomb-Tastic Adventure

This is a neat puzzle game that involves using perception and pathing to figure out where bombs have to be tossed to. Additionally, the game keeps itself fresh by adding a puzzle element for every world. Plus, visuals are an excellent case of simplicity, using color to its advantage to differentiate between bombs and enemies. And visual presentation helps sets this mobile puzzle game more as a proper indie game rather than a cashgrab mobile game. But I do have to critique soundtrack, namely for how there is only one puzzle theme that awkwardly pauses between loops. Plus, I find that theme to be a little bit too intense for the main gameplay with how track plays with beat changes while I think about where I throw the bombs. I do acknowledge that this game is meant to be played on the go, but having that extra music would help with engaging the player on those rare moments where one can play a puzzle game alone or with friends. The extra music could also be used to mark boss stages and the extra worlds to give extra flavor to the game’s structure. There could even be a shop where the game’s currency of frozen frogs could be spent on extra music to listen ingame. Beating puzzles would be a neat way to listen to a Touhou album. Criticism of music aside, I have to give thanks to the developer for releasing this game with a complete English translation. Quality mobile games have be mostly untouched in the Western Touhou community, so I am glad that the translation means I can share this game easily for the rest of the Touhou community outside of Japan. This makes this game an easy recommendation for general audience and Touhou fans alike.
