User Reviews

Overall, users praise SHOOZ for being easy to use, visually clean, and effective at tracking mileage across multiple shoes, with strong integration to Strava, Apple Watch, and workouts. The ability to attach shoes to workouts and view per-shoe metrics is appreciated. However, reliability issues (shoes not showing up, widgets not updating) and monetization concerns (subscription, ads, premium costs) temper the experience.
Pros
  • Easy to use with a well-designed UI and straightforward workflow.
  • Supports tracking multiple shoes across reviews.
  • Strong integration with Strava and Apple Watch, including loading workouts.
  • Rich per-shoe metrics and data visibility (pace, time, calories).
  • Good shoe image import and visual appeal that enhances usability.
Cons
  • Pricing and monetization concerns: subscription fees, ads, and perceived premium value vs free options.
  • Reliability issues: occasional failures to log shoes and widgets not displaying/updating.
  • Health app dependency limits multi-shoe data entry and manual input can be tedious.
  • Ads impacting user experience and overall monetization frustration.
Recent reviews
They made it so you can only track 5 workouts for your 1 allowed pair of shoes in the free version of the app! I’ve always been limited to 1 pair of shoes tracked for free in the app but the number of workouts assigned to that one pair was unlimited. But now, what is the point of the free version of the app? Tracked 9 miles and now have no way to keep tracking! Completely useless!

Every time I go to log distance on my sneakers app will fail to see any shoes. I have to repeat the process and then my shoes show up. Highly disappointed because it’s every single time.
