User Reviews

Overall, users praise MyMemo as a powerful AI-driven PKM that centralizes notes, links, and media with strong organization and fast, private search. The AI enables insights, tagging, and natural-language queries across a cross-device UI. However, reliability issues and long update gaps temper enthusiasm: some reviews report outages and unresponsiveness, with months between updates. AI performance is noted as inconsistent by some users, and there are requests for broader chat across large collections or API access. Despite these downsides, reviewers repeatedly mention the developer’s responsiveness and ongoing improvements.
Pros
  • AI-powered summarization, tagging, insights, and natural-language queries across the knowledge base.
  • Centralized capture and organization of notes, links, PDFs, images, and videos with tagging and collections.
  • Strong privacy and data security; data stays private and accessible across devices.
  • Streamlined UI with fast performance and cross-device support (iPhone, iPad, Mac, VisionOS).
  • Active development and responsive support; team engages with users and implements feedback.
Cons
  • Frequent reliability issues and outages; the app can be unusable for days due to server problems.
  • Long gaps between updates and a sense of developer neglect in some reviews.
  • AI features can be unreliable or inconsistent, with unresponsive or unhelpful results at times.
  • Limitations for larger knowledge bases: chat is limited to single documents and broader cross-collection capabilities and integrations are lacking.
Recent reviews
I have spent far too much money over the past year attempting to find the “perfect” note taking app/PKM. Well, I suppose that after a year of aimlessly searching and spending close to $1,000 on subscriptions, I can officially say that this is the best PKM available. Plus, the developer is responsive via email and seems to be a very kind soul as he was courteous enough to extend my free trial once I was unable to use it due to a family health matter.

I'm honestly extremely disappointed with this application — it does absolutely nothing. My notes don't render, my voice notes don't do anything, and it stays stuck on "analyzing." I deleted the app, logged out, and tried all the usual fixes, but it just doesn't work. I'm not really sure how else to say this, but it's been nothing but frustrating. The application hasn't been updated in three months, and as far as I'm concerned, it's been abandoned. Yes, you can log in, but if you can't save your notes and retrieve them properly, then it's useless for what it's supposed to do.

You have to upload one document at a time the analysis is weak and you cannot functionally chat with a single document. Let alone an entire collection knowledge base because the chat simply does not work. There is no response from the AI further these are dime a dozen and without the ability for mcp and/api what’s the point? Also pay for gpt 4o? That’s marketing Language for 12 months ago.
