plappa is a self-hosted audiobook player/client designed for Jellyfin, Emby and AudioBookShelf, the popular self-hosted media server. It is purpose-built for audiobooks, supports most common audio formats, and can save and sync playback state via iCloud or your server. It reads metadata like author and narrator and supports offline listening with downloads. It also works with podcasts, collections and series on AudioBookShelf.

In-app purchases unlock additional features: a one-time purchase or an auto-renewing subscription (with a 1-month free trial). Both options can be shared with your family. The extension is licensed under the Apple standard EULA.

My family has been searching for an iOS app that would sync with our Audiobookshelf home server. Plappa does not disappoint! Thank you for creating this awesome app! (Note: When we are away from home, we connect to our home server via tailscale, and are able to sync/download our audiobooks without having to set up any special remote access configurations in the Plappa app. Tailscale is wonderful for this!)

Honestly, I don’t take time to write reviews often. I think this app is just right. I wish it was available on Android, I’d use it over native audiobookshelf app. Is even pay for this app.
