User Reviews

Re:END is loved for its nostalgic retro RPG vibe, cute visuals, and a deep end-game built around pets, awakenings, and a unique progression system. The grind is addictive, with varied environments and spells that fuel hours of exploration. However, reviewers flag reliability and accessibility issues: intermittent save losses and no robust save slots; heavy reliance on external wikis to progress; content gaps between JP and Global releases; and monetization/ad concerns plus occasional frame-rate problems on some devices.
Pros
  • Nostalgic retro RPG vibe with an old-school feel that fans of classic games will appreciate.
  • Deep end-game content with unique systems like pets and awakenings that provide long-term gameplay.
  • Addictive, satisfying progression and discovery through a challenging grind.
  • Good variety of environments, monsters, and spells that keep combat interesting.
Cons
  • Unreliable save system leading to lost progress and lack of dedicated save slots.
  • Grindy progression heavily reliant on external wikis to progress past the early game.
  • Heavy monetization with ads and microtransactions; lack of an option to remove ads on some versions.
  • Content gaps between JP and Global releases; Global version lacks features found in JP.
  • Performance issues on certain devices (framerate) and occasional stability concerns.

I feel like I should say this now—I’m not old at all, like I’m in my mid teen years: 16. While I may be young, I grew up playing the Nintendo 1985, game boy, and other stuff like that. I loved how this game really gave me that retro feel. Despite this being an RPG game, it feels more like a chill isekai game I suppose? You start off really slow, but if you keep up playing you will be playing for hours on end trying to reach different goals. There is a very fleshed out wiki for this game if you js search “re end wiki”. I hope y’all make the good decision of playing this game. I hope y’all will all end up like me, staying up all night playing this game and stuff!

Totally unique game. The best part of playing was not knowing what to do. Game really doesn’t have a lot of walkthrough info out there. It made it sublime. Like playing Zork in the 1980s. You just had to figure it out. So satisfying. I’m level 180 or so before I finally said too much grind. Played for a solid year. Every day. Game needs a save slot option. Otherwise? Perfect. Update in 2026. Every game I have played in 2 years since putting this down has paled in comparison to this game. The potential of this game! Please make more! So satisfying this game. Update March 2026. I can’t recommend this game enough. There is nothing like it. Re:lost is great too if you need another suggestion.
