The CareSearchgp App supports GPs to deliver quality palliative care. This App brings together guidance on terminal prescribing and evidence-based information on key care issues including:

• Advance care planning
• Recognising deterioration
• Engaging in palliative care case conferences
• Caring for the dying patient, and
• Assisting families through stages of bereavement.

The App has been designed with the help of experienced GPs and includes interactive features to support the delivery of care for patients with palliative care needs. GPs can create tailored lists of information that can be shared with patients and their families. They can also make use of a checklist of considerations designed to support a person’s preference to die at home.

CareSearchgp also allows GPs to curate their own learning and education resources to strengthen knowledge and build practical skills to confidently provide quality palliative care to patients and their families.
