This review is coming from someone who’s only played Beach Buggy Racing for only a year or two. However, only Beach Buggy Racing 2. Firstly, this is a blatant rip off of Beach Buggy Racing by Vector Unit. The start map more saturated version of the starting map of Beach Buggy Racing so sort of confirmation(edit: also the other two maps are also copies— or I’m not sure if they are different. They may just be the same map but different times) There are only two characters, Jon and Sarah. John looks like Fez and Sarah… doesn’t really look like anyone. Sure she kinda reminds me of Leilani because of her flower shirt, but she really doesn’t look like her. Another thing is the modes, there is ‘Story Mode’ which is just levels of racing with 3 fake players(bots). The steering here is also messed up, it’s like you’re driving on dish soap. You do not drift, you slide. And if you hold the steering buttons a little longer, you’ll end up swirling around and facing the other direction. So you have to be careful. And the other mode ‘Endless Mode’ it has literally nothing to do with Beach Buggy Racing. I’m not sure how to describe it but it’s a click game where you have to shift lanes to avoid cars and get boosts. Coins give health, so if you reach 0 coins you’ll die. There is a fuel tank that goes down pretty slowly, so it’s much of a threat. The graphics of the game are not like Beach Buggy Racing. It looks unshaded even with graphics all the way up. The music of the game is the same and looped throughout the entire game. I do think it’s an original sound, but I could be wrong. The steering is also the same, you two options at the start, buttons and tilting. However in the settings, I cannot find the button to change my steering. It was only the Music and SFX. The reason for the 2 star rating is because the game is heavily referenced. However the endless mode was fun and seemed to be the originality in the game.
