User Reviews

Players praise the game's core card mechanics, art, and story, with a nostalgic feel for Shadowverse, but flag pay-to-win monetization, RNG-dominated balance, grindy progression, and persistent technical/AI issues as major drawbacks.
Pros
  • Fun core card-game mechanics and engaging strategy with depth in deck-building and evolutions.
  • Stunning artwork, visuals, and a compelling story that complements the gameplay.
  • Feels like a polished evolution of Shadowverse with familiar mechanics and improvements over the original.
  • Relaxing and satisfying to build decks and play matches for many players.
Cons
  • Monetization feels pay-to-win with expensive packs, gacha-like pulls, and predatory rates for leaders and cosmetics.
  • RNG-heavy meta and balance issues, with power creep and decks becoming dominant due to randomness.
  • Grind-heavy progression for free-to-play players and difficult early matchmaking against whales.
  • Frequent technical issues like servers being down, crashes, and launch errors.
  • AI/CPU cheating in solo modes and non-random card draws/deck behavior that can feel unfair.

While at first it seems overwhelming as a game the tutorial and single player missions/puzzles really teach you the game. The fact that there’s all these systems and effects actually make it so you have freedom in creating decks. I’m new but even with my limited cards I have board clears, single target elims, and close outs. Building the deck is the hardest part because there’s so much to choose from but at least you get a free daily pack, events and tournaments to get more card packs and crafting resources. Can’t wait for the new card set because it’ll put me more of an even playing field and according to a guild mate, new card sets come out every two or so months.
