Function Health

I wanted to provide some direct feedback about my experience with Function so far, because the way testing status is presented in the app is extremely confusing and has honestly made me regret choosing Function. I completed my annual testing on September 8 and also purchased Extended Hormone Health and progesterone testing. Since then, results have been coming in gradually, which I understand is normal. The problem is that the app gives me almost no clear indication of what is actually complete versus what is still pending. Right now, my Annual Test says “Clinician note ready” and the progress indicator appears to be at the Summary stage, which strongly suggests that the testing process is complete. At the same time, my Biological Age section says it will appear “when your full results are ready,” and I can currently see only 47 biomarkers despite the annual test including 100+ biomarkers. That creates a completely unnecessary amount of confusion. I have been left wondering whether additional results are still coming, whether something was missed, whether my hormone add-ons were actually collected, whether I was supposed to schedule another lab visit, and whether the clinician note means my testing is finished. This could be prevented with an incredibly simple status display. For example: Annual Test — September 8 47 of 103 results available 56 results pending Extended Hormone Health: pending / partially resulted / complete Progesterone: pending / complete Clinician review: available Full testing status: still processing Estimated completion: 1–3 weeks after collection Something that simple would answer nearly every question I have had. For a service that costs $365 for the membership plus additional paid testing, I expected the experience to make my health information easier to understand, not harder to track. The issue is not that lab testing takes time; the issue is that the app does not clearly distinguish between results received, results pending, add-on testing, clinician review status, and overall test completion. I would also strongly recommend adding an obvious place where members can see exactly what they purchased and what was included in a particular lab visit. It should not require searching through old receipts and emails just to determine what was ordered. I’m sharing this because I genuinely think the testing-status experience needs improvement. The underlying service may be valuable, but the current presentation creates anxiety and confusion that could be avoided with much clearer progress information. I would also appreciate clarification on my own account: which tests from my September 8 visit are complete, which are still pending, whether my Extended Hormone Health and progesterone testing were collected successfully, and why my Annual Test says “Clinician note ready” while the app simultaneously says my full results are not ready. This health service has been great for me… and I am finally seeing a doctor to deal with my cardiac biomarkers… I wish I could share more than just my bloodwork… I wish I could share the clinician notes in the app.
