BVRN Athletic Reformer ®

I had the WORST experience at BVRN athletic reformer/pilates. The owner Melissa Barnard is a Rude person - has issues!!! I signed up for a 3 month membership Dec 23 2024. My first class was Jan. 2nd. 2025. The afternoon of January 2 2025 I had an MRI and found out i had a Mass to the right of my heart. Thinking pilates would help my mind. went on January 3rd 2025 to do another class - since it is a basic class (almost beginners class) - as i was doing the warmup a dr. office called me which prompted me to get off the reformer..i was talking in the reception area because outside in parking lot is no reception. The dr. told me how serious this mass is and i should not be doing any physical activity. - as well i had to Leave Florida and go back to NY for Testing and then Surgery - THE MRI stated that the mass was compressing the side of my heart and had crushed a pulmonary vein. As i was crying, Melissa the owner came over and said "you can be crying in here"....i told her what was wrong and she then said, "if you have something wrong with you- you can't be doing my class". anyway, she then for a minute seemed nice i told her i need to cancel my three month membership as i just found out about the mass (which was a tumor the size of a tennis ball) - she said i will cancel your three membership- i let the front desk know she agreed to cancel the membership as well . fast forward what i had was a Benign Cavernous Hemangioma. - the dr's told me i was lucky i found it as it could have more dangerous. A few weeks after surgery Feb 4 i happened to notice that not only did Melissa NOT cancel my membership she kept charging me ($900) - i called her and spoke to her and talked to her front desk and emailed her....she would only credit me back $300 on my cc...and would only give an additional 300 in credit on my BVRN account.- after 6 weeks i would be able to work out again - i now had to go to a pilates class to make up for 300 that i could only get back in my account..(we exchanged many emails all which i have detailing her lies) .all in all Melissa lied, she refused to refund the remaining $300 - i had to contact my cc company. every negative comment i believe is true. she is RUDE to anyone and everyone- she has not one compassionate bone in her body...she has a little pilates studio....I would NOT recommend this studio to anyone - matter of fact people already know how rude she is..she will write back below and say i harassed them which is also another lie....she Fustrated me - here i am just recuperating from major surgery and the woman is rude and lying back and forth on email to me...i only learned how rude she was once it was too late! There is also nothing stating on her website that you need to put notice of cancellation in writing! If you want a good studio try Jet Set Pilates or Reforming Pilates both in Boca Raton.
