2026-01-18	JF*****	Purchased characters based on their original appearance. After updates, paid cosmetics were retroactively altered (characters covered, outfits changed) with no opt-out or compensation. Paid content no longer matches what was advertised, so I stopped playing.

2026-01-16	Do*****	This week the developers released yet another update that “rebalanced” some of the soldiers in the game. The net effect of that rebalancing was to reduce the effective power of my team by almost a third, dropping me two leagues in the game, from league 5 to league 7. As one who spends very little cash to build my team I can’t help but feel that this change was simply motivated by a desire to force a greater degree of pay to play. I have no desire to get on that treadmill so if the developers don’t do something to moderate the impact of this last update I’ll just delete the game

2025-11-20	Al*****	It used to be a pretty good game but for the last few months it crashes and closes out in the middle of games and the system recognizes it as a loss. Additionally when the broken array populated it often freezes the game causing to close out which comes to a loss for you.

2025-10-25	It*****	This game’s starting to become a joke, I have double the power and health of most players I go up against but somehow still end up getting beat, it makes it feel like that if you don’t spend a lot of real world money on upgrades in the game, then you can’t win and that’s ridiculous.

2025-10-10	EM*****	This game is awesome and I really enjoy playing it. The only downside is that it crashes ALL THE TIME! In the middle of a tough battle and it crashes and you lose everything. It’s SUPER FRUSTRATING. This would be 5 stars if it weren’t for that. Game says you need a stable connection - well I know it’s not my internet since I have really high quality wifi for work. It’s a total bummer because I want to keep playing but will probably lose interest if it keeps crashing all the time.

2025-09-09	Ni*****	It’s a fun game. But they are coming out with new characters and captains faster and faster, and it’s a clear money grab. They release OP captains that you drop $50 on and can instantly start smashing everyone. The P2W aspect really bogs down the P2P side of things. Then there’s the minigames that they release. Again, these are clear money grabs where you need to use so many gems to get through them that it doesn’t really make it that fun. And the maze? Don’t even get me started on that. Never in my life have I seen a game mode in anything geared so heavily to the CPU. They get the exact character they need, at the exact moment every single time. You sit there for 30 minutes doing the same battle over and over and over again just to try to get that 1 game where things align for you. And if you miss it, it’s gone! The maze is so ridiculous I’ve just started ignoring it completely. It is a massive failure. It used to be a decent minigame, where it was challenging but you could actually win and I did, but then a couple updates ago the developers I guess got mad or whatever and decided to basically make it impossible. The game has started great, but the more I play it the more money hungry the devs get and the worse the updates get. Terrible company and the game is so ridiculous, don’t even waste your time downloading. Steer clear.

A player can survive with a F2P style, although their expectations should match their desired style. There will always be opportunities where the players who pay can gain some ground chasing immediate gratification. However … The developers will eventually ‘rebalance’ everything, making short-term gains irrelevant, and increasing the need for long-term players to constantly readjust their Squad Line-Ups. Invest wisely, embrace greater long-term strategies, and be prepared to change your strategy at any point if you want to maintain immediate gains. It’s not like chess where the Queen will always be the Queen … Over time in LYSSA, all your mercenaries are little more than Fancy Pawns … 😂🤣😆
