That is all the feature(fake or not) It asked me for full VPN access so I granted it that in my settings app. For about 10 minutes it was fine until my internet died, It took 10 minutes to process that I had tried to search for something. Let alone the amount of time it would take to load an actual website or load search results! As soon as I re-disabled the VPN access(which I now know gives the app full access to my intenet connection. Including being able to view my internet access, change my permissions set for it, and filter/use it for its own means) my internet speed became blazing again. They are probably using users internet(both my data and wifi were being eaten) as a way to make a profit, either by selling what I do on the internet or by selling my internet in its entirety to some other scam company. Do Not Buy!
