User Reviews

Muziqi is praised for strong offline library management, smooth imports from Files/iCloud, and a compelling value with a lifetime license and no ads. It delivers powerful built-in features (EQ, visualizer, looper, audiobook bookmarks, Last.fm) and solid developer support. Recurrent concerns focus on UI/UX polish, occasional feature gaps or quirks, and occasional instability. Overall, it’s a well-regarded local-music player with notable strengths in organization and performance, plus proactive developer communication.
Pros
  • Excellent offline/local library with smooth scrolling, clean presentation, full artwork, and detailed album info when files are properly tagged.
  • Reliable import from Files/iCloud and flexible offline workflow for managing rotating offline libraries.
  • Lifetime, one-time purchase option with no ads; good value for a local-music player.
  • Powerful built-in features including an equalizer, visualizer, looper, audiobook bookmarks, and Last.fm integration.
  • Developer is responsive with ongoing updates and good support.
Cons
  • UI/UX often described as unintuitive or a bit clunky, with navigation that isn’t as polished as Apple’s apps.
  • Some feature gaps and quirks (e.g., album art editing not always applying; missing lossless formats; license-dependent feature availability).
  • Occasional instability or bugs reported by a minority of users (sporadic freezes or unresponsiveness).
Recent reviews
I tested no fewer than 50 offline music player apps on iOS, and most of them felt half-baked in one way or another. Muziqi is the first one that really clicked. If your files are properly tagged, the library experience is excellent. Smooth scrolling, clean presentation, full artwork, and album details that actually make browsing enjoyable rather than frustrating. Playback has been flawless for me so far. I use Blip to transfer my FLAC files into the iOS Files app, and then Muziqi reads them directly from there. The workflow is smooth and reliable. Muziqi also supports other import options, but this Files-based setup has been the most convenient for me so far, especially if you’re managing a rotating offline library. The developer is also unusually responsive. There are still a few issues I’ve run into, but the dev has acknowledged them and promised fixes in upcoming updates, which goes a long way. Add an Apple USB-C dongle (or something like the FiiO KA11) to your iPhone, pair it with whatever IEMs or headphones you like, and you’ve got a genuinely excellent, no-nonsense budget audiophile setup. Easy 5 stars.

I hate when apps make 90% of the functions behind a paywall. This app is the perfect middle ground and makes me want to give my money more. As far as the actual app goes it’s a great player with a little bit of an unintuitive ui, specially compared to Apple Music but it gets the job done. Would love more customization like in power amp on android.

After deciding I was done with DSPs, I was surprised to find that there were very few good mp3 players on the App Store. This is the best one, bar none. The lifetime subscription is a one time purchase and is worth the money. Specifically, the importing via server function is incredible and I use it all the time. Great product, please support the dev.
