Imagine everyone, chatting in their own words.
TransWorks is a multilingual chat app that supports communication across language barriers.
What you write in your own language arrives in the other person's language. You can talk with anyone, anywhere in the world, in your own words.
【WHAT YOU CAN DO】
■ Chat
What you write is translated into the other person's language. What they write, you read in yours.
■ Voice
Speak, and your words are translated on the spot.
■ Photo Translation
Contracts, signs, documents, whiteboards, menus. Take a photo, and the text inside is translated.
■ Ask What You Don't Know
Ask your team's AI in your own language. It answers with an understanding of your work's terminology and workflows.
■ Keep Important Messages
Important messages can be posted to Announcements. They stay out of the timeline flow and can be viewed anytime.
■ Pass It On to Other Rooms
A department head can forward messages from a board meeting room to their own department — only what their team needs. The original remains as an uneditable image, and members see it translated into their own languages.
■ When You Feel Harassed
Double-tap the chat room background, and that screen is saved as a record — for you and for the operator — watermarked with the room ID, the other person's ID, and the timestamp.
■ Learn the Other Person's Language, Little by Little
Tap to hear the translation. Double-tap to hear the original pronunciation.
【ABOUT PRICING】
The owner of a chat room pays.
When the owner purchases a monthly plan and points, every member of that room uses it for free.
One person pays, and everyone crosses the language barrier.
This exists so that we never take money from those in a weaker position, or from those already struggling because they cannot make themselves understood.
TransWorks relies on overseas services (Google Translate, OpenAI, Google Cloud), billed in US dollars. Point pack prices are shown in your local currency.
【HOW IT'S USED】
Companies employing overseas staff. Headquarters and overseas offices. Multinational teams. Negotiations with overseas partners. International events. Conversation with foreign friends and neighbors. Safe communication for people working on site.
At work, and in daily life. Wherever there is a language barrier, TransWorks can be used.
【WHY THIS APP EXISTS】
TransWorks began with a scene from a worksite.
Construction sites, factories, farms, care facilities, restaurants — all over the world, there are warnings. "Watch your head." "Mind the step." "High voltage." There are safety documents. There are manuals. Almost all of them are written in the language of that country.
The supervisor explains. Earnestly, with gestures. The worker answers, "Yes, yes."
No one is at fault. There is simply a language barrier standing there.
But sometimes it hasn't been understood. Most of the time, it ends as a small misunderstanding. But one day, it might not.
This happens every day, all over the world.
The same structure exists not only on worksites, but in offices, in business communication, in everyday conversation. TransWorks was built for all of them.
【WHAT THIS APP HOPES FOR】
To create a place where the person who wants to tell and the person who wants to hear can truly meet, across the language barrier.
To create a place where someone who could only answer "Yes, yes" can say, in their own words: I understand. I don't understand. Say it again.
That is TransWorks.
【ABOUT THE DEVELOPMENT】
TransWorks is built by a single developer, working alongside AI. Not a large-scale service run by a giant tech company, but an app built by one person, in dialogue with AI.
Because it centers on text, it can be used by people who cannot hear. A voice-operated mode is in development, so that it can also be used by people who cannot see.
We will keep listening to the people who use it, and keep growing it, slowly.
