Review summary

Users praise the app’s simplicity and real‑time data, but report recurring issues with scheduling reliability, app crashes, charger recognition/QR problems, and restrictive Wi‑Fi setup requirements. The top requests are better scheduling reliability, improved stability, broader device support, and a smoother Wi‑Fi/configuration flow.
Pros
  • Simple, straightforward app for basic charging controls.
  • Easy setup and quick configuration.
  • Real-time monitoring and charging history provide useful energy insights.
  • No bloat; focuses on core features with intuitive start/stop and scheduling.
  • Works well with strong Wi‑Fi networks (mesh setups help).
Cons
  • Scheduling is unreliable and can disappear after updates; limited per-day options.
  • App stability issues: frequent crashes or the app becomes unresponsive.
  • Charger recognition issues and QR/registration failures; some models (Duo) not supported.
  • Wi‑Fi setup is outdated/restrictive (2.4 GHz SSID requirement, password character limitations) which makes setup hard.
  • Connectivity problems: charger can lose Wi‑Fi signal or show data/control as unavailable.

2026-07-08 ab***** Upgrades, firmware upgrades and remote access to the console works great. I’m able to change the Amperage and the necessary settings. Can’t complain 6 months in.

2026-07-08 Th***** I’ve been using this charger for over a year now and after an initial range problem, I contacted the company and they worked through it with me and after receiving an extender, I’ve had no more problems. I have it programmed to come on during the night, usually about once a week, and it’s worked every time!

2026-05-14 Or***** Like others have commented, it does not reliably follow the schedule you set in the app. In the app it will say charging stopped but when I go to my car or check my house power consumption (emporia vue meter), it shows the car kept charging several hours after it should have stopped. This resulted me in charging on peak rates. After this happened several times, rebooting the charger, unplugging it and waiting, and confirming all the schedule settings are right, it still happens. So without a reliable schedule function I just started using it as dumb charger set to charge now, and then set an alarm on my phone to remind me when to go back into the app and change charging to disabled. But even that doesn’t work reliably! Tonight I switched to disabled now, it confirms in the app, and later I just happened to pass my garage and see the green light on the charger which shows it IS in fact charging and my car dashboard confirms it has been charging hours on peak rates. App is unreliable! Also a safety hazard because I set a max current limit in the settings and all schedules for 10 amps but it has on occasion charged at 30 amp!

2026-05-07 Za***** Couldn’t find a way to delete a charger from my account Would be nice to be able to enter rates by season then by time And to get a monthly consumption total BY PORT! And for the case of the DUO I would like to be able to rename the plugs to the car name.

2026-04-21 nu***** App is mostly decent, scheduling is pretty easy, but there should be a timer function where I can tell it to charger for 4 hours then turn off.

2026-04-10 ki***** Ok, so when you buy a smart device, you just want it to work. You don’t change your WiFi password for one device. This this app doesn’t let me configure my password because it has a forbidden character. But I have loads of other smart devices and computers and phones that don’t have this problem. Their support page literally says “Ensure your network has a dedicated 2.4ghz Wi-Fi band with its own SSID.”! Never seen this in my life! It’s own SSID?

2025-09-12 Uc***** Works great. New update causes existing schedules to randomly disappear on the schedule screen. Going back one screen and then opening up the schedule brings it back. Please fix the disappearing programmed schedules bug.
