The ICECO app enables phone-based remote control and monitoring (and CarPlay is a listed feature), but it is hampered by mandatory cloud login and codes, repeated logins/timeouts, unreliable device discovery, frequent crashes after updates, and temperature/unit display issues. These problems impede off-grid use and overall reliability despite promising capabilities.

Pros

When functioning and logged in, the app’s controls can be reliable.
The app provides temperature/status information for monitoring the fridge.

Cons

Mandatory cloud login with email/verification codes, which hinders offline/off-grid use.
Frequent login prompts and timeouts that make camping or weak connectivity challenging.
Bluetooth/device pairing and discovery issues (often shows no devices found).
Crashes and instability after updates, including repeated logouts and buggy behavior.
Temperature/unit conversion glitches and UI labeling confusion (F/C mismatch, left/right vs front/back).

As mentioned by others, set the temp on the fridge. Fahrenheit. Change it on the app, switched to Celsius and sets wrong temp. Example, I set to 34°F, fridge adjusts to 1 °F. App is not usable

Keeps throwing an E1 code no matter what I do when I try to add or check on the status of a cooler. App looks like it would be nice, but doesn’t work.
